The usual opobs technique of getting into the water as deep I could without flooding my wellington boots, camera as low as I could get it on the tripod, and with numerous ND filters took the photo with as long an exposure as I could. This was the very last photo of the morning's shoot. I was very conscious of my toes losing all feeling in the extreme coldness despite two pairs of thick socks and I did wonder if I should slip and become submerged if the cold shock would kill me! It was so cold when I came out of there that the water on my wellies froze before it had time to dry!

Taken on a morning visit with four flickr friends, Wiiffsmiff, Rob, Leighton and Little Miss Pink Wellies. Thanks to Rob for doing the driving today, my turn next time!

This waterfall is part natural, and part man made, the gorge is natural but the top has been weired to hold back the water to provide power for a historic site, Neath Abbey Ironworks. At one time there was a water wheel to the left of this photo (out of frame) and the foundations can still be seen below the surface of the water.

Please note, this is not a crop of the next photo in my stream, but a zoomed in picture from a similar position 49 minutes earlier!

This was taken on a recent trip to "Waterfall Country" with Leighton and Angela Roberts, Mr Messy and Panda. Taking in the Upper Ddwlis and Sgwd Isaf Clun Gwyn.
